Welcome! I’m Shugri Nour, RN, Nutritionist
I am a Registered Nurse with a Master of Nursing from the University of Toronto. I have worked as an RN for 5 years in various healthcare settings including acute care, rehab, education and research. After years of hearing patients share their struggles navigating healthy food choices at home, I decided to pursue nutrition and received a certificate in Nutrition for Sport and Performance from Niagara College.
Eating foods that help you feel good and provide you with the energy to keep up with the busy demands of your life - all while trying to maintain your health can be challenging! Interesting fact, 44% of Canadian adults over the age of 20 have 1 of the 10 most common chronic conditions in Canada. With the rate of chronic diseases in Canada on the rise and the proportion of people living with multiple chronic diseases increasing, healthy eating is a key factor to supporting quality of life and improving well-being.
As a nutritionist, I believe that every individual has a unique set of needs and concerns - whether it is weight loss, exercise performance or general wellness. I will work with you on an individual basis to make the transition to nutritious foods easy. I do not believe in restrictive dieting, rather, my philosophy is that food should be enjoyable, practical and sustainable.
Work with me and I’ll give you the tools to prepare nourishing meals that are both beneficial for your health and well-being!
